AIMS & OBJECTIVES


The aim of this club is to promote the sport of trampolining recreationally and competitively, for all children and adults.

To set up and maintain a place for those of all ages with physical, mental or social difficulties, known as special needs.

To work to high standards of safety and to ensure that members reach their full potential as competitors.

To develop the skills of the coaches through teaching courses and regular meetings.

To help those who do not wish to compete, but to help them attain and maintain fitness and health.

To organise & hold regular competitions at Grundy Park Leisure Centre.

To hold fund raising events and social events.

To ensure that all equipment is maintained and upgraded.

To help finance those members who travel nationally and internationally to take part in competitions.


CODE OF CONDUCT

 

THE CLUB WILL:

British Gymnastics affiliation, records and insurance for all club members

Provide a safe and child friendly environment

Provide qualified and CRB checked coaches and officials in all supervisory positions and where appropriate trained support personnel

Controlled open door policy with appropriate opportunities

Provide equitable opportunities

Provide a structured training approach

Report all concerns to appropriate authorities

Maintain competition entry process for competitors

Provide opportunities for personalised training sessions (Private lessons) and open sessions for relaxation and fun

Maintain an appropriate coach to pupil level

Provide training and support for all coaches and support personnel

Manage where appropriate press releases and articles for publication

THE CLUB WILL NOT

Discriminate

Accept bullying, antisocial or disruptive behavior

Accept poor or unsafe practice

Accept breaches of equity codes, discrimination or unfair treatment

Accept breaches of club, county, regional or national codes and policies

THE COACHES WILL

Follow club codes and policies as detailed above

Follow British Gymnastics Code of Practice

Maintain suitable qualifications

Be fair, approachable (at appropriate times) and trustworthy

Maintain the clubs standard coaching practice and policies

Make sessions achievable and enjoyable

Maintain confidentiality and report any concerns to the appropriate club
authorities

Encourage competitive entry, follow club entry procedures

Carry appropriate checks and maintain records and registers

Will use agreed Club literature and paper work processes

THE COACHES WILL NOT

Adopt negative behaviour

Condone rule violation or deviate from club policies

Accept disrespect or inappropriate behaviour from club members or parents

THE TRAMPOLINISTS WILL

Check in at reception, pay outstanding fees and pick up any information on arrival at gym or competition venue

Advise receptionists and coaches of any special arrangements for arrival and departure of the sessions/competitions

Wait quietly until your session/competition starts, outside of the gym area.

Be appropriately dressed, nourished, on time and be prepared for your session

Younger children are encouraged to go to the toilet before the session starts

Respect and listen to their coaches and support the club

Keep training diaries, plans and notes as directed by the coaches

Inform coaches of any injuries, body piercing or anything that may impact of a safe training session

THE TRAMPOLINISTS WILL NOT

Not wear any body jewellery or inappropriate clothing

Leave the hall without permission

Be lazy or use bad language

Train anywhere else without prior permission

Take any food, drinks (other than water) or dangerous objects into the hall

Go into the hall outside of training/competition times

Use equipment of any kind without the coaches express permission

THE PARENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO

Support but not pressure their children

Support the club

Respect the coaches and value their skills and experience

Follow all parents guidelines, club, county regional or national policies

Volunteer to help and support all club activity

Report any concerns to the coach or appropriate club authority

Ensure their child/children are appropriately dressed and on time

Encourage their child/children to follow any home plans such as conditioning and planning

Maintain club pride and good sportsmanship in competition with others

Ensure good control, conduct and behaviour of non-participants
(especially small children) whilst in the club or any competitive venue

THE PARENTS ARE ENCOURAGED NOT TO

Interfere, talk or communicate in any way with their child whilst training

Distract their child or coach whilst training

Disrespect or carry out inappropriate behaviour at any time

Work against or be disruptive to the club its members or its personnel

Make derogatory or disrespectful remarks/actions concerning the club, its members or its personnel

Be disrespectful or unsporting to any other club or competitors at events

Allow non participants ( especially small children) to run around or be destructive or disruptive whilst at the club or any other competition venue

Publish articles or photographic/media material without the express permission of the club
